Season 2 Episode 1: The Return

Content Warning: Language, Innuendo, Violence, 

Here we are at another season. And it sure does start out with a bang:
  1. Elena is able to save John and get him to a hospital
  2. Damon brings up the kiss to Elena and quickly finds out that it was Katherine not Elena
  3. Stefan tells John he has to leave or Stefan will turn him into a vampire
  4. Mason Lockwood who is Tyler's Uncle who showed up for the funeral
  5. Katherine shows up at the after event for the funeral pretending to be Elena
  6. Bonnie threatens Damon using her powers
  7. Bonnie tries to threaten Katherine but it doesn't work and Stefan has to save Bonnie
  8. Katherine tells Stefan she came back for him
  9. Katherine tells Damon (after a heavy make out session) that she never loved him and always preferred Stefan
  10. Damon goes to Elena's room and does some serious "we have a connection" stuff. She tells him it will always be Stefan
  11. Damon gets angry and snaps Jeremy's neck but because he was wearing the magic ring he came back to life
  12. Katherine kills Caroline 
John is not dead. Which surprised me but I guess I'm glad he's not. I don't like him but that's an awful way to die. Everyone also figures out pretty quickly that Katherine is back. But I should probably address the elephant in the room. If you are not a huge Damon fan you probably are wondering what kind of psycho would like a character who just snapped Jeremy's neck because he got rejected--twice. To be fair Jeremy is still alive. On the other hand it might be a little callous but I'm not huge fan of Jeremy right now so him dying does not affect me very much and as horrible as it sounds what happened to Damon makes his actions more understandable to me. Was it stupid, horrible, and awful? Absolutely. But what happened to Damon was awful too. Imagine being rejected by the both of the girls you love for your brother? Oof. This is not one of his greatest moments and it is clear why Elena has no interest in him. I won't push to defend Damon's actions but don't think to low of me for not being completely repelled by them. That aside Katherine is the worst. But she promises to be a good villain character. She is doing everything she can to mess up Mystic Falls. Including upsetting Damon, confusing Stefan, and killing Caroline. And we all know how that last bit will turn out. 

Elena says this to Damon, "I love Stefan. It's always going to be Stefan."

Season 2 Episode 10: The Sacrifice Content Warning: Violence (People's hearts are ripped out), Innuendo (implied sex), Language This episode is aptly named. Not the most depressing I've seen but well... you'll see: Luka's Dad steals some stuff from Elena's room Alaric and Jenna are progressing nicely Stefan and Damon are planning to steal the moonstone from Katherine. Elena isn't fond of that plan because she doesn't want to incur the wrath of Klaus so she wants to give herself up instead. Bonnie and Luka are bonding...ugh. She tells him about magic being harder for her to do Elena tells Rose she wants to talk to Slater (omitting the fact that she wants to give herself up to Elijah) in return for providing Rose with a daylight ring after the...event or whatever Jeremy is against the idea of Bonnie dropping the tomb seal because he believes she's not strong enough Slater is officially confirmed dead Caroline and Tyler prep for the full moo...
