S2 E10: The Sacrafice

Season 2 Episode 10: The Sacrifice

Content Warning: Violence (People's hearts are ripped out), Innuendo (implied sex), Language

This episode is aptly named. Not the most depressing I've seen but well... you'll see:
  1. Luka's Dad steals some stuff from Elena's room
  2. Alaric and Jenna are progressing nicely
  3. Stefan and Damon are planning to steal the moonstone from Katherine. Elena isn't fond of that plan because she doesn't want to incur the wrath of Klaus so she wants to give herself up instead.
  4. Bonnie and Luka are bonding...ugh. She tells him about magic being harder for her to do
  5. Elena tells Rose she wants to talk to Slater (omitting the fact that she wants to give herself up to Elijah) in return for providing Rose with a daylight ring after the...event or whatever
  6. Jeremy is against the idea of Bonnie dropping the tomb seal because he believes she's not strong enough
  7. Slater is officially confirmed dead
  8. Caroline and Tyler prep for the full moon. They find some of Mason's stuff that describes and shows in detail what is going to occur
  9. Elena gets Slater's girlfriend to send someone connected with Elijah in order to die
  10. Rose calls Damon cause Elena is...well read #9 again because that says it all
  11. Stefan ends up getting stuck in the tomb with Katherine because Jeremy decides to play hero
  12. Damon comes to save Elena
  13. Cody, the guy who is connected to Elijah, comes to get Elena but Elijah shows up and kills him letting Elena and Damon live
  14. Jeremy and Bonnie admit they kind of have a thing
  15. Damon brings an angry Elena home and tells her what happens to Stefan. He convinces her to not go after Stefan because she will only get hurt.
Elena is officially a psycho. I mean I get what she's doing but I can't believe she is giving herself up to be sacrificed. I thought she was more of a fighter than that. Damon is not particularly happy with her either and I was so glad he was the one to come after her. He did exactly what I wanted him to do. But Elijah did not do what I expected. Why did he save her? Especially when I thought he wanted to take her to Klaus. Yet another question I need answered. In other news Caroline and Tyler are building this friendship and I love it. But the more I learn about what he is going to have to go through the more scared I am for him. Finally, Stefan is now stuck with Katherine. Bless Damon for convincing Elena not to go after Stefan. She would have gotten herself killed. But I don't think Stefan will be in there for long. I'm already watching the next episode.

Here is a quote from Elena that sums up this episode pretty well, "I don't question why everyone tries so hard to save me. You shouldn't question why I try so hard to save everyone else."
