Season 1 Episode 9: History Repeating

Content Warning: Language, Violence, Innuendo

The question of what exactly Damon is trying to accomplish is answered. But there are also more events that increase the suspense:
  1. Damon is trying to bring Katherine back using the crystal. Emily apparently used the crystal to magically protect Katherine (and other vampires) in the tomb beneath the church
  2. Stefan figures this ^^ out while having some "brotherly" moments with Damon (Absolutely hilarious!)
  3. Stefan is putting some distance between him and Elena basically saying he is leaving for her protection even though she finally agreed that she can be with him
  4. Alaric Saltzman is the new history teacher. He has a mysterious ring--is he a vampire? His wife died mysteriously
  5. Alaric and Jenna have some cute romantic moments
  6. Bonnie is being haunted by her ancestor Emily--Bonnie, Elena, and Caroline do a seance to find out what Emily wants and Bonnie ends up getting possessed
  7. Emily (While possessing Bonnie) destroys the crystal necklace saying she won't free the people in the tomb. Damon falls into a depression
  8. Matt and Caroline have a budding friendship which may be something more
  9. Jenna runs into a very alive Logan at the end of the episode
  10. Elena tells Bonnie about vampires 
Damon's ulterior motive finally comes to light--and I doubt any of us were expecting it. According to Damon the mysterious Katherine is actually very much alive. Plot twist, much? But as quickly as we find out this information, Damon is prevented from going through with it. For me, Damon's expression at losing this chance is depressing. He looks so crushed and broken. But before that all happened I just want to say that the seance freaked me out a little. Especially the scene with Bonnie screaming in the bathroom--not my favorite thing. I also want to say that I LOVE Alaric so far. He just seems like such a good guy but there is a lot of questions surrounding him. Is he a vampire? What about the ring he uses? At the end of this episode Logan Fell our favorite news reporter has come back from the dead. Yay. And also...how?
Oh and Bonnie officially knows about vampires now which thank the heavens for Elena. She needed that outlet to help her sort things out.

Stefan says this quote to Damon when confronting him about the truth, "This isn't about love. This is about revenge."

Season 2 Episode 10: The Sacrifice Content Warning: Violence (People's hearts are ripped out), Innuendo (implied sex), Language This episode is aptly named. Not the most depressing I've seen but well... you'll see: Luka's Dad steals some stuff from Elena's room Alaric and Jenna are progressing nicely Stefan and Damon are planning to steal the moonstone from Katherine. Elena isn't fond of that plan because she doesn't want to incur the wrath of Klaus so she wants to give herself up instead. Bonnie and Luka are bonding...ugh. Season 2 Episode 1: The Return Content Warning: Language, Innuendo, Violence,  Here we are at another season. And it sure does start out with a bang: Elena is able to save John and get him to a hospital Damon brings up the kiss to Elena and quickly finds out that it was Katherine not Elena Stefan tells John he has to leave or Stefan will turn him into a vampire Mason Lockwood who is Tyler's Uncle who showed up for the funeral Katherine shows up at the after event for the funeral pretending to be Elena Bonnie threatens Damon using her powers Bonnie tries to threaten Katherine but it doesn't work and Stefan has to save Bonnie Katherine tells Stefan she came back for him Katherine tells Damon (after a heavy make out session) that she never loved him and always preferred Stefan Damon goes to Elena's room and does some serious "we have a connection" stuff.
